Results of the Calls for proposals

Development – Single project

The European Commission granted financial support estimated at 5,840,000 euro for the development of European production companies` projects under the framework of the Single Project support scheme.
Among the supported companies there are 4 Romanian production companies (Art Doc, Libra Film Production, Hi Film Production and Generic Audiovizual), who received a total financing of 65.000 euro.

Development – Slate funding

For the Call of proposals 16/06 addressing the Slate funding 1, Slate funding 2 and Slate funding 2nd stage financing schemes, the European Commission granted 8,455,000 euro to European independent production companies who intend and have the capacity to develop between 3 and 6 audiovisual projects simultaneously.

Training

35 European institutions received 4,952,399 euro from the MEDIA Programme for organizing audiovisual related training courses.

Distribution – Selective Scheme

115 European distribution companies received 3,697,500 euro from the MEDIA Programme for the distribution of 31 European non-national films. 3 Romanian companies are among the beneficiaries, having obtained a total support of 20,500 de euro:

  • Independenţa Film for El laberinto del fauno, Le serpent, Moliere, Nuovomondo and Reprise;
  • Prorom Media-Trade GMBH for Goodbye Bafana;
  • Transilvania Film for Irina Palm (Aka Irina).
