Development

The MEDIA Programme supports the development of European audiovisual works for the following categories:

  • Drama with minimum duration of 50 minutes;
  • Creative documentary with minimum duration of 25 minutes (one-off or series);
  • Animation with minimum duration of 24 minutes (one-off or series);
  • Interactive works.

There are several schemes aiming at companies with different experience and financial capacity. 

Single Project is available for companies with limited financial capacity, registered for at least 12 months and wishing to invest in the development of one project. 

Slate Funding and Slate Funding Second Stage are envisaged as development grants for medium-sized companies with previous international experience and financial capacity to develop several projects simultaneously. In order to be eligible for Slate Funding the company must have been registered for at least 36 months before the submission date.

Interactive Works scheme is available for companies developing on and off-line interactive works.
